First of, allow me to let out some of my fangirlish glee - OMG! This is so cuuuuuuuuute~! Waaaah~!
*ahem! ahem!* Ok, now that I've let that out, I'll move on to the critique, eh? The coloring is good, although not necesarily of a style to my taste. That doesn't matter though, it shows that you've got skill. The composition is nice in this, her expression is so sweetly sad (can y'tell I like angst?) I've just got a little problem with his face - it looks flat, while the rest of her looks a bit more 3D. Mayhaps you could darken the shading her face, particularly around her nose, and add a touch of light along the top of her nose. As for her ears, claws, and tale, if I squint, I can see that they're well shaded - the point is that I have to squint. I'd recommend darkening the shading there as well, and adding a touch more highlights. The hair could use a little texture, but that's probably just my personal preference speaking. ^_^;;;
So, what're the good things about this pic? Well, the expression, obviously, as I mentioned it before. The eyes are really key in that. The gloves *look* shiny and close-fitting, rather than *trying* to look shiny and close-fitting, if you know what I mean. One of my favorite bits is the jacket - it looks so soft a cuddly. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the faint nubbly texture, but it looks nice.
Over all, well done. A bit of polishing, and it'll be really really good.
